As part of BPK-RI and ANAO cooperation program in Development of the Indonesian Board of Audit’s Performance and Financial Audit Capacity under AusAID’s GPF, BPK RI conducted workshop on Financial Audit on Risk Based Audit approach from 12 – 23 November 2007 in BPK-RI’s Training Centre, Kalibata. One of the agenda of the program was presentation of the result of 2007 financial audit secondment program in ANAO and financial audit workshop on Risk Based Audit which was conducted on Friday, 23 November 2007 at the head office of BPK-RI.

The presentation was attended by Tortama KN I, II, III, V, VI and VII, Head of Planing, Evaluation and Development Division (Kaditama Revbang), Acting Head of Public Relation and International Bureau (Plh Karo Humas dan Luar Negeri), Organization consultant (Mr. Roy Ferouge), Expert Staff on International cooperation, Representatives from Division of International Cooperation and the participants of workshop on Risk Based Audit. This presentation was also attended by Mr. Brandon Jarrett (Executive Director of Performance Audit Services Group, ANAO), Jocelyn Ashford (Executive Director of Performance Audit Services Group, ANAO), Jodi George (Executive Director – ANAO) dan Amy Fox (Executive Director – ANAO).

Presentation on the result of financial audit secondment program in ANAO, Canberra from 26 Januari 2007 – 24 Agustus 2007 was delivered by representative of the secondment program, Ms. Ria Anugriani, Head of Sub Auditorate VII.B.1. She described the activities of ANAO secondment program. She also explained that the secondees joined the ANAO auditors to conduct audit on financial report Year End 2006 on four Australian departments, and various public sector entities in Australia. Further, Ms.Ria also conveyed the comparison between the audit process and methodology on financial statement in Indonesia and Australia.

Meanwhile, the presentation on workshop result was given by the representative of workshop participants which emphasizes on the implementation on risk based audit approach on sector public entities in Indonesia as a beneficial reference to be implemented in BPK-RI. To follow up those presentation, ANAO handed the workshop materials to BPK-RI as references to develop audit manual and quality assurance as well as to produce course modul on performance audit and financial audit using Risk-Based approach. It is hope that the result of cooperation between BPK-RI and ANAO will not only increase the individual capacity building, but also enhancing the institutional capacity building.
